The Next Charlie Hedbo Issue Will Feature Multiple Cartoons Depicting The Prophet Muhammad

TELEGRAPH – The next edition of Charlie Hebdo, out on Wednesday with a million-copy print run, will “naturally” contain cartoons of Prophet Mohammed, along with jibes against politicians and religions across the board, said the stricken weekly’s lawyer. Richard Malka was among the first to call for the magazine to continue functioning after nine of its contributors, including famed cartoonists Cabu and Wolinski and its publishing director, Charb, were gunned down last Wednesday by Chérif and Saïd Kouachi. When asked whether that meant more cartoons of Mohammed, which have been a regular feature in the magazine until last Wednesday’s attack, he replied: “Naturally.” “We will not give in otherwise all this won’t have meant anything,” he told France Info radio on Monday, which broadcast from the magazine’s heavily guarded temporary offices at Libération newspaper.

Jesus (no pun intended, I think). The iron sacs on these cartoonists. They just went through a mass murder and are about to double down on some Jihad. And I respect it, but is it the right move? I’m all for freedom of speech and the right to be blasphemous. Christ of dickness I once dropped an audible “God Dammit” during Christmas mass because I accidentally put a $20 in the collection plate. But then again my honkey ass isn’t going to strut into North Philly singing the intro to Dr. Dre’s “Let’s Get High” at the top of my lungs because I can. Just because you could doesn’t mean you should. Is there ever the time to be the bigger man in this situation, swallow your pride and not risk more lives to these savages? One might think that way, but I’d say no. They came for our cartoons, and I did not speak out because I’m not in animation. You gotta take a stand for your rights, and today, for once, the French don’t surrender.
